VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Volunteers are the very heart of hospice care as they were the framework that formed the modern hospice movement. Long before hospice was reimbursable form of care, we had volunteers. They are an integral part of the interdisciplinary approach to care, and as such, are mandated members of the team by Medicare.
Volunteers play a vital role in hospice care, making a positive difference in the lives of patients and families. Community members from diverse backgrounds offer a variety of talents, experiences and interests. The common bond among Hospice of San Joaquin’s volunteers is the desire to give back.
If you want to make a difference, take a look at the different rewarding volunteer opportunities Hospice of San Joaquin offers. You will find more detail information by clicking on the section of your interest.
